Thanks for the update Stu

I also suffered from range anxiety early on...not so bad now. In fact, I'm probably getting around 115 total now. I recently switched to only looking at the % total on the computer display and find it more helpful then freaking about miles ticking away. Miles ticking away seem to scare my brain more than percentages.

You know, you raise an interesting sociological issue, and perhaps an unintended side-benefit of e-vehicles - we HAVE to be conscious of how far we drive. No matter the fuel source, less distance is better for the planet. This is like a new health-conscious dieter counting calories for the first time. It's the first step in managing an unhealthy habit - quantifying it.

I'm not being preachy here - I'm in CA, and statistically Californians drive WAY more miles than East Coasters - historically, distance didn't matter so we built EVERYTHING so far apart. Now we have to think about it.

Love Google maps from the iphone, Electric cars need GPS tracking intigrated into the range calculations, not so much so you dont get lost, but intigrated into the range calculations so it can assure you you'll make it home.
