  • One Down and … How Many To Go?

The first MINI E was delivered last Friday to a luck Peter Trepp in California. Congrats, Peter. Peter’s been busy with the press when anyone can drag him out of the MINI E. Read about it all in his blog.

That’s one of… Well, wait a second. I thought there were 500 cars with half going to California and half to New York / New Jersey. From that, 50 were to be allocated to municipalities leaving 450. Now I hear that the 50 for Germany are also included in the original 500. That leaves 200 cars for the public on each coast. Wow, I guess I was even luckier than I thought to be picked.

To update everyone on my status…

    • The garage is coming along nicely. I got rid of a lot of junk and I could probably squeeze the MINI E in now if I had to.
    • My contract is signed with no cost to me. I’m now waiting for an appointment. They may be going a bit slower since the charging cords probably won’t be ready for the initial installation.
    • I’ve been told that east coast cars will be arriving mid-June. Just a few weeks to go!

Needless to say, after hearing about Peter’s fun with the car I can’t wait to get mine.

its 400 MINI E’s to pioneers. I heard they were making 50 more for a test in London too, not sure that its true though.
Just heard from the electrician, he’s coming to install the wall charger on Monday, without the cable though.

Been a long road as you know – hopeful that the wait will be worth it. Please add my BLOG to your site and I will do the same for yours. Here’s to the great green adventure! Best – mw

    • Welcome, Mark. It’s nice to meet another Pioneer. I’ve added your blog to the list of MINI E Blogs and look forward to reading about your experiences.
